Immigration
Standing up for immigrant rights.
On our radar
Educating our neighbors –Sharing materials such as Know Your Rights with vulnerable communities, local businesses, and organizations to build awareness of immigrants' legal rights.
Advocating with elected officials – At the federal, state, and local level, persuading elected officials to rein in abuses against immigrants, citizens, and observers; hold ICE, CPB, and other federal agencies accountable; and advocate for humane policies.
Bearing witness – Supporting efforts to protect our neighbors and observe and report local federal activities, such as ICE and CPB.
Please join us for Love & Resistance: A Workshop for Whatever Lies Ahead
Wednesday, June 10, 6-8 pm
Many of the skills that allow us to support immigrant friends and neighbors targeted by ICE are complementary to how we should be preparing for less structured actions that don’t look or feel like the rallies and standouts we've become used to. Grounded in lessons we've learned in Massachusetts and from blue cities across the U.S., this workshop will help participants build their active bystander, self-regulation, situational awareness, and de-escalation skills; assess their personal risk tolerance; and feel better prepared for various forms of noncooperation and protests.
