Be ready to show up. Our work doesn’t end when we cast our votes. If election results are threatened, we may need to come together quickly and peacefully, sometimes with just 24 to 48 hours’ notice. We’re building a small rapid response list for people who want to be the first to know.

Each day brings fresh horror, from the swift dismantling of our democracy to the ongoing deterioration of constitutional rights. We are preparing to respond in whatever way we're needed, through both mutual aid and boots on the ground.

Establishing a plan – Identifying what triggers a rapid response, how we will communicate with team members, and how we will act and make decisions during critical moments.

Forming coalitions – Partnering with other organizations to leverage existing resources and rapid response infrastructures.

  • Hosted by Freedom Trainers and Strike Ready Corps, this virtual 90-minute training offers practical training for community members who want to be ready when collective action escalates. The training will cover the basics of how strikes work, the roles communities play beyond the workplace, and how to coordinate support that can be sustained over time.
