  • Postcarding:

    • Every Monday at 4:00 p.m. on Boston Common. Look for the folks in orange True North baseball caps. Sign up here.

  • Phonebanking: Phonebanking is easy and training is provided.  Why not give it a try?  If you feel uncomfortable, just hang up!  Since there are needs in all areas of the country, phonebanks fit into any/every schedule.  Go to Mobilize (if there is a specific issue/candidate you want to call for, add that to the search).

Our neighbors need us, and time is running short. New Hampshire and Maine — two states that could help steer things back toward democracy — are asking for our support. We're looking for drivers and door-knockers. Come join the effort. Training and support provided.

  • Canvassing:

    • Sat, Sep 26: New Hampshire — Sign up and join us here.

    • Sat and Sun, Oct 3 and 4: Weekend in Northern NH, lodging provided. Combine canvassing with some hiking, fishing and spend a weekend with like-minded people. What could be more fun than an adult slumber party? Sign up and join us here.

    • Oct 23–25: Northern Maine Weekend (2–7 day options; lodging provided. More details available upon request) — Email katy.truenorthboston@proton.me

    • Nov 1–2: Get Out the Vote — Location is TBD based on need

  • Deep Canvassing:

    • Learn more about deep canvassing from this recording or from this article.

    • There are a couple of Deep Canvassing trainings on Zoom in September.  This is advanced work.  You don't need this training to canvas, but it is always helpful to sharpen your communication skills.  

We need fighters.
In Congress. In our State House. In our local governments.

We need stronger, more progressive Democrats to actively fight to protect our democracy. We are working to elect those fighters here in MA and in states where flipping a seat could shift the balance of power.

Let’s get there in the Midterms!

Volunteer and organize – Participate in phone banks, text banking, and door-knocking for progressive candidates in and outside MA.

This election isn’t about parties—it’s about We the People. Right now, only one party is truly standing up to defend our Constitution, our freedoms, and our democracy. There is only one choice - vote democracy down the ballot.

Engage voters – Help new voters and voters in underrepresented communities confirm their voter registration and turn out on election day.

    New Hampshire Primary: Sept 8, 2026

    This is an open seat, with Jeanne Shaheen retiring. Chris Pappas (current representative from NH’s 1st Congressional District and frontrunner for nomination) and Karishma Manzur are running in the Democratic primary.

    Former MA Senator Scott Brown and former NH Senator John Sununu are among four candidates for the GOP.
